Sound wise it is the quietest machine I own and the fan is thermostatically
controlled. Regarding standby mode under Linux, I have never used it so cant say how
well it works.

I will be selling the SN41G for 579.00, less than Memory Express, if you need one. I
am very impressed with the machine and getting dual vga right out of the box is sweet.
Not to mention nVidia chipset and an AGP port all in a nice looking aluminum case.

Hello.

I'm also interested in getting a Shuttle Small Form Factor kit. I was
wondering if you could answer a few questions about it.

When it is running how loud is it? I would be putting mine into an
environment were noise is a factor.

Also when you put it into suspend or standbye mode do the CPU and Power
Supply Fans turn off?

Thanks.

> I just picked up a Shuttle SN41G with the Nvidia GeForce 4 MX video chips
set with dual VGA outs and S-Video and nView. One quick note, running an AMD
2400, 512mb DDR ram on dual DDR bus's, this thing is just way too cool. I
have also seen a mod where someone put a small LCD on the front panel so it
can either play a DVD, or monitor the system, while workin on your main
monitor. Once I am finished learning how to configure this I will be
offering them bundled with twin LCD's and a DVD/CD-RW combo, and a TV card
as well and maybe hardware Mpeg. A nice packaged system. But I digress.
>
> No problems getting dual monitors and nView to work under Win2k, but I
have never setup dual displays under X and after some time googling for help
I have not accomplished much.
>
> Does anyone have any experience setting up Nvidia nView with a GeForce 4
MX under Red Hat 8, using Nvidia's latest drivers? Apparently I can also get
seperate x sessions which is what I want to accomplish. unfortunately I dont
have matching monitors if that helps.
