If you have an nvidia card, definately get this update! I always had "squirmy" or irregular virticle lines where dark printing was placed adjacent verticle bars, like in Mozilla's mail client. I thought my monitor was a little substandard. After installing the Nvidia driver update the verticle lines are completely straight! Some other little anomolies are also fixed and performance does not seem to have been affected.
Happy computing...

Looks like nvidia released version 43.49 linux drivers today. Interestingly they aren't providing packages anymore but instead have a
single installation script for all distros. Any brave guinea pigs out

Worked OK for me on a fresh install of mdk 9.1 (stock kernel) I opted for the download and then ran it with the sh command Then I had to change one line on /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 for driver 'nvidia' replacing 'nv' After i got it going it seemed stable enough (ran glxgears)

When I get my debian testing intall back in lilo I will try this new nvidia driver there too.

there willing to try them out (Johnny?)
