Hi Graham,

As Aaron had pointed out to me, all you need to do is to kill the nautilus
process(es) and you should be gold once again.

Of course, you'll want to log out and save those changes--annoying isn't it?
I don't know why gnome decided on the monolithic approach, but that's how
you kill it off when it happens ;)

I tried out ximian evolution last night,
generally impressed but I hadnt realised
it was such an all encompassing envoiroment.
now Gnome has taken over my desktop.
It seems like it has some very nice features
but at the moment I cant spare the time to
change the way i'm used to working.
