getting a bios battery today, seeing that the current one is over 6-7years old... and 
I haven't turned the power off to that server in 6 months... so no clue if bios 
battery is still good.

as for writing anything down in bios... no can do... its still overprinting random 
characters... 

i just want to get it booted, so that i can backup my website... after that, probably 
kill that server, install linux to a powermac... use that for a webserver.
