My Brother needs to be able to have R/W abilities against a MS Access 2000 MDB "database" which he would like to store on Linux.  He wants to access it via an ODBC or JDBC driver from within Domino also running on the same Linux box.

I've suggested PostgreSQL, but for now, he's still curious about running it with Access.  (He's emerging his Kernel as we speak (Gentoo, woohoo)), so he should be able to get up to speed in PG pretty fast, but his developers are hoping to continue with Access.

I know there was a discussion on this list a few months ago about running an Access clone on Linux, I can't remember the project, but does it allow full R/W on MDB files?

Thanks
Kev.
