Slashdot is reporting that MS will stop producing IE on the Mac
platform, they sight competition from Safari as the reason. I think that
KDE developers should be very proud because it looks as though their
engine has accomplished what Netscape has tried to do for years. I think
this is especially interesting since I was a Mac user during the height
of the browser wars. I was originally a Mosaic user, but I switched to
Netscape when it overtook Mosaics lead in the browser market. I also
watched as MS came into the scene with their version of Mosaic and
eventually overtook Netscape. I never imagined that a new browser would
come onto the scene and take IE out of the Mac market. This gives even
more legitimacy to KHTML/Konqueror which I'm proud to say has been my
default browser for awhile not. Here's more:
