Hello,

Frames can be ones friend if used properly. (On a side note, the newbie
site should look fine now under 800x600. Actually, could I take a
poll... how many of you newbies are using 800x600, and how many a
resolution higher?) The reason for framing links is simple; this site
is intended for newbies. When I say newbie, I am aiming to help the
newbie of all newbies. From my observation of the most extreme newbies,
they can *sometimes* have trouble with a bunch of windows all over the
place. Therefore, in an attempt to make this site friendly to this
audience I have chosen to use frames. The frames issue is really a
matter of semantics though, so I won't let it bother me. This site will
continue to evolve. Who knows what it will look like a few weeks from
now. :-)

I have added the mini distros as per your request.

I have also added mention of CLUGGIX, Slackware, and Lunar Linux.

I actually already have a link to Sourceforge under the Software
section. :-)

Kernel.org appears to be up now...

Added the links from your other email.

Thank you very much for the suggestions Szemir. I appreciate it. If
you see anything else or have any other suggestions please let me know.

Regards,

Brian Horncastle

Hi Brian.
Very good effort,
I personally hate/dislike frames, but let that not bother you atall.
I wish you did not frame sites like google and some others.
You could mention some mini-linux distros like router-linux since many
noobs
to linux may otherwise be capabale experts in their own fields, so
mentioning
those specialized/ mini distros could prove very valueble.
Also i would add cluggix as our own fork of Knoppix :-) .
I would also add distros like lunar-linux www.lunar-linux.org . and
slackware.
not for the faint-hearted, but you never know :-)
Also i would add sourceforge to the links section, it is an important
site
afterall.
Congratulations on the kernel archive link. Apropo inaccesseble at the
moment, i wonder why ...
Cheers
Szemir
