With Canada Day coming up I have very patriotic feeling to help promote Canada, and because I am always trying to find new ways to promote Linux I now have a very Canadian plan. To get a start on this simple plan I need to find some answers.

Has anyone every looked into how much Canadian content is in some of the Linux distributions?
Has anyone applied to use the Canadian flag on labeling of Linux CD's and on web sites?
What distributions are made in Canada?

To recognize the contributions made by Canadians we should explore the promotion of Linux with a "Made in Canada" attitude and point out the Canadian content. To be fair promotion should also recognize the contributions made by other contries, but for CD and promotions in side Canada we should make our logo larger and list it first.

Food for thought. Flames are not welcome. Happy Canada Day everyone.
