I am currently taking applications for next months O'Reilly Book Reviews.
This is an O'Reilly Sponsored Program, therefore, ONLY O'Reilly books can and
will be ordered.
Please note: At this time this will only be offered to Tier 2 members. If you
are interested in becoming a Tier 2 member please speak to one of the CLUG
executives for details.
Please email me your contact information including Full name, Telephone #,
email address, and CLUG ID #.
This will be on a first come first serve basis. A limited number of books
will be ordered per month for the group so please get your information to
me quickly.
Book Review Requirements:
- Book Title
- Edition
- ISBN #
- Author
- Pricing
- Short paragraph summarizing book
- Star Rating out of 5
- 5 stars [highly recommended]
- 4 stars [recommended]
- 3 stars [average]
- 2 stars [below average]
- 1 star [not recommended]
Reviews must be emailed to me within one month of receiving the book.
If at this time your review has not been submitted, the assigned book must be
returned to the group and/or the reviewer in question will be not allowed to
review a book again through this program. No excuses. It will be the
reviewers responsibility to meet this deadline without constant reminders
from myself and/or any other CLUG member.
In return for reviewing a book, the reviewer may keep the book selected
and a copy of the same book will be donated to CLUG for the monthly
giveaway.
Please send me 3 or 4 books of interest and I will make the decision upon
which book will be ordered. Please include the title, author, and ISBN # upon
submission.
Reviews will be posted to a website upon completion for O'Reilly and
anyone interested to view. Reviewers will be announced through the mailing
list.

PLEASE NOTE: Reviewers must attend the CLUG monthly meeting following book
arrival in order to receive the book, if reviewer is not in attendance the
book will be assigned to someone else unless prior arrangements have been
made for pickup.
PLEASE NOTE: Books may take up to 4 weeks to receive after ordering.
Please do not email me in regards to their status, I will inform the group
of their arrival when it occurs.
PLEASE NOTE: Since CLUG is for Linux and Open Source Advocacy, I will NOT
order any Microsoft books, and/or books which I feel a review will not
benefit or interest the group.
