(clug-talk) jpeg --> mpeg conversion

Hi there,
I have a question: Is there any linux utility or program that allows for 
the conversion of *.jpeg images into a single *.mpeg file.
I know that many windows program, even MS movie maker, allows for this, 
but I have not heard of any linux tool that does the same...
