I would highly recommend and have had great success with Netgear and Linksys myself in a few small(ish) installations (i.e. less than 50 nodes). Personally, 'bang for the buck' it's hard to beat Netgear, as some of their 24 port switches even offer VLANning and some other goodies that may interest you for future growth.
