Since Knoppix was a big conversation topic in the past I thought I would mention Vector Linux Live (mentioned to me by Marcel at the last meeting). It's a slack based distro intended for low-end machines. The LiveCD version is about 185M (it fits on the miniCDs) and it includes XFCE, IceWM, Abiword, Opera, Sylpheed and other stuff. It's pretty slick! Certainly would make a nice distro to cart around in your wallet or whatever. It even has pretty decent HW detection although the drivers aren't the most current.
