Hi Guys,
Before today I didn't even know 'kfmclient'
existed. I have a brand new RH9 installation on my desktop at work. So far,
things were going swimmingly until today. My system started to spawn "numerous"
instances of kfmclient to about 45 cpu loads to the point that I cannot do
anything.
I've been googling and have learned
quite a bit about kfmclient but nothing to indicate to me how to disable it or
how to uninstall it. I know that it's part of the kde-base... binaries, that
it's a console program and that it allows you to control konqueror and so on and
so forth.
I guess because it's part of kde-base, it
would not show up as a separate binary installation to be able to "rpm -e" it.
Other than that no real/useful help found yet. I have looked through the
/etc/cron* directories and nothing. I've peeked through the /etc/rc.*/ folders -
nothing.
Does any of you folks have anything that
could help me control this monster; this is what it has turned into...What is
doing this? Oh my, oh my!
Thanks for any help.
Raph.
