I had a similar problem with a linksys WPC11 card and a Linksys AP. I could connect to the router, but could not connect to the internet. iwconfig showed that the router & my laptop were communicating because packets were going out and comming in, but I couldn't ping the router or anything else. I did some research and someone on a list somewhere said something about empty packets?
This isn't going to be much help...but one day, all of a sudden, it started working and has been working fine ever since. I didn't do anything (that I know of or change anything in the router config)...strange. Still don't know why it wasn't working at first.
Try turning everything off (pc and router), wait 5 seconds, and power up again.
