Peter,

Are you using MC to recover the data?

I found TestDisk a while ago. It is a data recovery program that will
recover EXT2, EXT3, etc ... From a list of programs. The only thing is
it must be already installed to recover data. This is the program site

Hi everyone,

I can volunteer to do one of the eight topics. Anyone interested in data
recovery? I can show the repetitive steps I took a month ago to recover
emails from formatted space. I think it could be done in 10-15 minutes.
I like using Midnight Commander as my file manager. Perhaps someone else
could follow me with more details of MC.

To make it fun, I could be challenged to recover something. Otherwise,
I'd end the presentation with a demonstration where I format a floppy
and then recover its original contents.

Regards,

Peter
