Juan & others who may be interested.

Here's from a friend in BC who has worked in the robotics industry.

It may not be a big help, but I suppose it is a start.

Nope--nothing in Linux. Actually, the stuff I did has remarkably little
connection with hobby robotics.

As a recommendation for books, THE authoritative tome on Robotics is
called something banal like "Robotics" or "Robotics and Control" by
Craig. Should be available through Amazon for about 60 bucks. It has
nothing to do with Linux but talks extensively about articulated robots
and how to make them work. Not much use to a hobbyist though--it's all
for industrial stuff.

This is a note from the Calgary Linux Users Group.

Did you ever do any of your robot stuff in Linux?

Have any tidbits that could help this fellow out?

A bit off topic, but does anyone knows about some software tools for
Robotics/Automation in Linux...A couple of used books(software-related)
would also come in handy, even if it is not about linux...
I am trying to teach myself to write software/code to interface with
electronics/industrial control systems, etc....But I'd like it to be in
Linux if possible.
