I wouldn't think of it as "well what does the big bank care if I move my money to another bank?". A bank is a business like any other, and as consumer we influence companies with our money. I hate to bring up Microsoft, but I always use them as an example when I make this argument. They have a monopoly on the software industry, even though most people you talk to will tell you that they make bad software. The reason they have a monopoly is the fault of consumers. There are alternatives out there, and most of them are better products (like Linux or Apple), yet people still buy Microsoft. I'm trying to be a good consumer by not supporting Microsoft, and by buying products from companies like Red Hat, Mandrake, and Suse. I think that if you don't like what RBC is doing, then you should go to another bank, and better yet, tell them why they lost a customer. Even if you are not a millionaire, you are still a customer, and the banks do need people like you and I.
