Hello there,

Just trying to convince my boss that I need a Linux laptop for network
troubleshooting etc. Sooo... can anyone recommend me a decent piece of
hardware, which works flawlessly under (Slackware) Linux, please? It must have
a serial port (Compaq notebooks don't have serial anymore!), 802.11b and DVD
would be nice to have. After spending quite a long time configuring my home
nForce2 machine, I realized how important it is to check the hardware
compatibility first. So if I'm supposed to promote Linux at work, I need to
think twice before submitting a purchase request. Any suggestions? Is Centrino
supported in the kernel yet? Thanks in advance!
