I've seen this behavior before. I would see it when I would Reply to an message. If the message was from [EMAIL PROTECTED], the addressed automagically populated on the reply message would be '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' (note the quotes). I would have to manually remove the quotes to send the mail properly.
I never really found the fix for this, it would just happen once in a while. But, being aware of it was kinda useful. Hope this helps. If you are offended by my posting to this list, please flame me in private and not on the list. I have a client who is trying to send email to a list of email addresses with Outlook. Every address is being sent to the SMTP server in the following style: <'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'> This is obviously wrong. Email appears to work normally except when sending to this list. According to the client, they are simply pasting the addresses into the BCC field but I am 99% certain they are using some sort of address book entry. I have no ability to see what the client is actually doing. Anyone have any idea what is causing this borkenness? Better yet, how to fix it? The SMTP server is running sendmail and the client apparently has Outlook 2000 configured for "Corporate Workgroup". Also, apparently the SMTP server used to be an Exchange server of some description. I can't provide better information because the client is somewhat clueless. -- William Astle finger [EMAIL PROTECTED] for further information Geek Code V3.12: GCS/M/S d- s+:+ !a C++ UL++++$ P++ L+++ !E W++ !N w--- !O !M PS PE V-- Y+ PGP t+@ 5++ X !R tv+@ b+++@ !DI D?
