I use vsftpd. Its simple and easy to set up. Its not as configurable as some 
of the other ones are but its also a lot less bloated. If you just need a 
basic ftp that is secure and easy to use give vs(very secure)ftpd a shot.

Looking for opinions on favorite/most hated FTPDs. I want something simple,
probably with no GUI, just for passworded access so I can upload pages to
