Linux User Groups around the world are working hard to promote the use of Open Source software. At the same time developers are finding that Open Source is the fast track to productivity and insures the longevity of their work.
If you consider for a moment the huge number of developers that are working with Open Source right now and then consider that for each developer there could be about 10 to 20 others using Open Source that are not developers, the size of this community is staggering. There is an effort underway to unite Open Source developers. Our goal is to have supporters in every major city and be a united group intent on accelerating the process of converting businesses to Open Source. We do not have a name for our group yet so we are calling it Project X. Calling all Open Source supporters. Many business groups and LUG's are providing valuable input to the Project X effort. Some groups are already forming partnerships with local vendors. These partnerships can gain from the unique features offered by Project X. We need LUG members community support to contact all developers and inform them of Project X. If you have a community group we would like to collaborate our efforts with you. Calling all developers. Project X is offering you the chance to earn money for writing Open Source code. You will be your own boss and in charge or your own business.
