Well, you keep me from ripping my hair out. I edited the ebuild and added 
myconf="--prefix=/usr/kde/3.1" I wonder if you could just export that as a 
temporary environment variable rather than digging to find ebuilds. I am also 
wondering if others are having this problem with kopete.ebuild, maybe I 
should submit a bug report?

Man, with the old list the reply button always replied on-list. Gotta be 
careful of that, habits are hard to break...

Although its still compiling Im fairly confident it'll work, thanks.
