Hi, posted this earlier but I don't think it went through, I hate webmail. Linux on Laptops has entry for this laptop mostly concerning RedHat but towards the bottom one guy found that SUSE 9.0 got just about everything with the exception of 3D acceleration. This was my experience also on a Compaq 2110. You may have to disable legacy USB support in the BIOS before install. If you want 3D acceleration there is a patch but I'm too chicken and intend to wait for xFree 4.4.1 when it should be included.
