Well Maxtor had some problems with their 8MB cache drives and was late
bringing them to the market. We have sold some of those lately but
otherwise haven't sold much in the way of maxtors for the last year due
to the 1 year warranty. Luckily. these new 8MB versions come with a 3
year warranty.

I can't say enough about the 8MB cache Western Digitals. They are
awesome drives and we have had very little problems with them over the
past year, year and a half since they were introduced. Now WD had some
bad years for a while but they have definitely fixed the problem. The
nice thing about the 8MB cache Drives, was that they were pretty much
the only offering with a 3 year warranty until recently.

(IBM/HITACHI did have 3 year warranty drives but after the Hungary drive
disaster, we like most people has stayed away from them.)

Seagate drives are nice but they only come with a 1 year warranty so we
tend to avoid them unless the costumer insists on them.
