I've heard some of my other
friends had issues with ProFTP as well. have you tried vsftp? I've
had very few issues with it and you might have better luck with it.
Also can you ftp with a user on the system? You might not have the
port open. Have you added the daemon to xinet? or in init.rc
directory? Might open some more possibilities for you.
