I've looked into PHP5, and have found the only way I can "easily" install it
on my Gentoo server is to install the Beta 1 ebuild. However, I need Apache
integration, which apparently Beta 1 doesn't support (CLI install only).
So, I decided to dive in and compile Beta 3 from source. I've extracted the
tar file, and am ready to do the ./configure step. But, this will be my
first manual compile/installation on Linux, so I'm not tooooo familiar with
the .configure options.

Has anyone else on the list compiled PHP5 Beta3? If so, any suggestions
what I should put into the ./configure step? I pretty much need a standard
application server setup, with Postgresql support, and file I/O support.

I have found reference to the "-with-pgsql=" option, but I'm not quite sure
what goes after the equals sign - the pgsql executable? the location of it?
etc.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Shawn

(ps. I'll be digging into the online documentation again, right after
Ghostbusters is over (on superstation) or during commercials maybe)
