While we were listening to some of you folks mention some of the new apps you've been introduced to, playing with..."killer apps", I overheard Jeff talk about mondo. I have used mondo and I'm very impressed with it. For Backup and restore of a complete system; the best.
I meant to ask Jeff, if he's tried it with dual boot; win/linux. I have only been able to work with single boot; namely linux. No problems there; as I said, works like a charm. However, they claim that it's supposed to work with linux/windows dual systems, as long as "the windows partition is listed on fstab". I have not, for the life of me, get it to boot a restoration successful when this is the case. I understand that there are some implication depending on the version of windows and in turn version of file system you're running. As well as the the size of the drive itself... you know the 1023 cylinder limit and so on and so forth. I wonder if Jeff would care to commend on this issue. Have you, Jeff, been able to restore a dual boot systems? Thanks. Rafael. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
