Why not just find the .dat file on the disc (can't miss it, it'll be the 
biggest file on there, probably in a "mpeg" folder) and cp it to your hard 
drive?  It doesn't have a .mpg extension, but that's what it is.  Then, if 
you want to recreate it later as a VCD, run it through vcdxgen/vcdxbuild to 
create a cue/bin you can burn.
