The next monthly meeting is almost here.  In addition to our usual
information and question and answer period, there will be an election for
the Vice President postion and  we have have info on KDE Kool Tips and
hopefully some Gnome Goodies (tentative)

Time:

7:00pm - 9:30pm, Wednesday MAY 5TH 2004  :-D
doors open at 6:45pm and close at 10:00pm

***Information posted in earlier announcement of Bi-Election for Vice
President***

Due to the resignation of the Vice President Marcel Lecker and in keeping
with the Society's Bylaws, the vacated position shall be filled at the next
meeting provided it is a minimum of 30 days from the date that the
resignation was received. As the resignation was received on March 27th,
2004 the next eligible monthly meeting is May 5th, 2004.

Nominations for the Executive Board position of Vice President can be made
at the April 7th monthly meeting of the Calgary Linux Users Group Guild and
prior to the vote at the Special General Meeting on May 5th, 2004.  All
nominees must be Tier Two Members in good standing.

The Special General Meeting shall be held from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm on
Wednesday, May 5th in Room MD201 in the Heart Building at SAIT.  Tier Two
members wishing to vote shall verify with the Secretary.  Tier One members
will be welcome to view the proceedings but will be asked to refrain from
voting or making comments during the voting process.  Should there be only
one accepted nominee for the position they will be voted in by acclamation
and no official vote will be necessary.

Tier Two memberships can be obtained or renewed before the SGM is
officially called to order.
