[clug-talk] Looking for laptop

Hey all. If anyone has a laptop they're looking to sell, I'm looking for 
one.  The theme is "basic and cheap", as my main purpose is to use it as 
a notepad on trips out of town, etc.  As such, I want something cheap 
and simple that I don't have to worry about losing, having stolen, etc. 
 I'll use an encrypted filesystem to protect my work.

Given the above considerations, I'm looking to spend $200-300 (don't 
laugh!) on something as basic as a PII/266.  The whole point is that if 
it goes missing, it's no big loss - it's mainly being used as a portable 
word processor.

"Would be nice" items are USB and external IDE interface so I can use it 
to run my HP 8200i CD-RW, now that my DVD-RW has made it obsolete for 
the desktop.  That means a P133 minimum.

Please contact me off list or ring me at 608.0318 during the day.  I'm 
going out of town again in the late afternoon, and it would be nice to 
take it with.    ;c)   (I can tinker with it when I get back!  For now, 
it just needs to be in running condition.  LOL)
