Well it's Saturday afternoon and what Saturday afternoon would be complete without a pledge drive of some type.
I don't know about some of you folks but I have been using KDE everyday for a number of years now. I use it in both a personal and business context. Until now, I've never really done anything to contribute back (unless you consider purchasing distros and reporting bugs a contribution). A day would not go by when I wouldn't feel guilty for allowing this relationship to be so one sided. I was using such great software that I'd gladly pay money for if it were only available via a commercial boxed product. So last night I finally did something about it, I donated financially to the project via the KDE e.V. homepage. Albeit a small contribution, I figure if a few more of us follow suit the Calgary contingent could total a juicy offering. Some of you must be in the same situation as me, so I'm challenging all the KDE users (especially tier 2 members) that have used KDE for a period of at least a year to do the same. Let's give these fine folks what they need to make this project even better than it already is.
