Just an update to my post last night. I was able to get VMWare running tonight. I'm currently configuring a Win2K virtual machine on my Linux host machine...
If this goes as well as I think it will, I'll be able to do a wholesale migration to the Linux desktop, and only have to boot into Windows to play games or run other apps that need 3D acceleration. It looks as though I'll be able to do my Windows development on the virtual machine, and never really have to leave my linux environment... What a sweet idea... This is what has really been holding me back. But, for $189 USD, I doubt I'd ever go down that route myself if I hadn't won a license. (thanks again VMWare!!)
