Mi Michael.

First, you can get an ISO for Knoppix online at www.linuxiso.org (or www.knoppix.org).
If bandwidth is a problem or lack of burning hardware, I'm sure someone here can help
out.

On Compaq computers, you normally use either F1, F2, or F10 when you see the grey
cursor flashing in the top corner to enter bios. Each motherboard manufacturer uses
one of the common keys, but there is no real consistency between them. The keys I
know of are DEL, ESC, F1, F2, or F10. When I have problems entering bios, I normally
hit all these keys and usually get access.

Subject: [clug-talk] two more knoppix disks

Hello,

Could I have two more knoppix disks please?

My friend was impressed with the disk I demonstrated on my computer. But when
I went to change the bios settings on his computer, I tried to get into the
bios by pressing delete when the bios statement came on the screen. That
worked on my computer, but not his compaq 575 computer.

He has a CD ROM drive. I do not know how to get into the bios in his computer,
but he wants to keep the knoppix disk until we figure out how to change the
bios settings.

So I would like another knoppix CD to demonstrate knoppix to friends and
another knoppix disk to lend to the friends.

Regards,

Michael Walters
