Hi People.
It is time to prepare for a few mini-presentations for next month's meeting.
My suggestion, is to do some distro presentation, on the lines of how it
works, management, installation, configuration, updates... And yes, you can
show off your favourite distro.
Currently i have a tentative on Linspire.
I could do one on Fedora or Mandrake.
And i would really like to get presentations on
Gentoo, Xandros, Debian, Fedora, Mandrake.
This is for starters, and the theme here is Linux Distributions.
Your Options, Your Choice of freedom.
In addition to this theme, and i know i left out a bunch of specialized
distros, like the mini-distros and the firewall/router/embedded etc. Linux
distros. Also a good contender would be Knoppix, i would like to see a
Knoppix Installation and subsiquent update using apt-get.
I would like to see a mini-presentation on remastering Knoppix. I've
always wanted to do that, but, not being of Debian heritage, can never
figure it out.
Please feel free to contact me if you are a taker to any of the subjects
discussed, or not discussed here :-)
