I've got a dual xeon capable system that currently only has one 1.8GHz xeon. looking at the usual retail suspects, the slowest xeon I see for sale is a 2.0GHz model. this leads to my question, can I add a 2.0GHz xeon to the system and expect it to scale back to 1.8GHz to run with the with the currently existing cpu, or can I manually underclock it to 1.8GHz? or do I have to get an exact 1.8GHz chip to make it work?
