Hi,

I noticed on my server that the output from the command "last" is something
like this:

dboyd pts/0 mystation Sun Jul 25 18:29 still logged in
root :0 console Sun Jul 25 12:01 - 12:05 (00:04)
root :0 console Sun Jul 25 07:53 - 09:39 (01:45)
dlaqua pts/2 Sun Jul 25 00:07 - 08:03 (07:56)

When I add the argument to convert the remote host to an IP then
the above is output like this (last -i) :

dboyd pts/0 192.168.0.197 Sun Jul 25 18:29 still logged in
root :0 64.151.1.64 Sun Jul 25 12:01 - 12:05 (00:04)
root :0 64.151.1.64 Sun Jul 25 07:53 - 09:39 (01:45)
dlaqua pts/3 0.0.0.0 Sat Jul 24 23:59 - 23:59 (00:00)

I don't understand why the console is converted to an IP "64.151.1.64" that I
don't recognize. Gave me a heartattack when I first saw it. Thought someone
else had root access.

I'm using SuSE 9.0 Pro and it's not possible to login remotely as root.
Any thoughts?

Doug
