I am in search of a supplier of wirless PCMCIA cards that will work with
Xandros 2.0 (linux in general) in the Calgary area.

Tried the WPC11 Ver.4 from memory express - wrong chipset. Earlier ones
used prism 2? set but now are using a realtek set that doesn't work to
well for linux yet.
802.11g cards are not supported at all it seems

The following are the chipsets that apparently work,
Aironet
Prism2 /2.5

Other useful sites I came across in the struggle.

I am currently using a Proxim Harmony OEM card, works fine
under SUSE 9.1, I am thinking of upgrading to a high power
SMC2532W-B from Memory Express which is also supposed
to be supported, it also has both internal and external
antenae. Its a special order but should only take a few
days. You could have my Proxima or an Octopus (TwinMoS?)
card for $15 either one the proxima will only do 64bit WEP
and the Octupus has realteck chipset. If that wrapper thing
will work. For general compatability look at Seattle Wireless

I have a SMC2835W, it is an 802.11g and it works great. I am using it with Mandrake 10. Check out this site : prism54.org Lots of good information.
