Sorry Michael. I had some similar problems on DeadRat9 and they were mainly caused by mozilla not properly killing off child processes.... Based on your experience with 'ps' it's safe to say that's not your problem. 'ps -aux' shows you all the programs on your computer and what they are doing. 'top' will also do this.
'no such process' means that mozilla isn't running anything at the moment.
Have you been able to fix mozilla yet?
