Andy,
Is it possible to upgrade the kernel via YaST (or RPM on Red Hat for that matter)? I remember trying that on a Red Hat 7 install and it botched the system.

I just noticed myself ... mostly because I have not had the need for my CD
burner in a while ... but SuSE has upgraded the kernel (Sept. 1st I believe).
So burning audio CDs works again.
