Yeah, I check the /etc/xinetd.d/time, the line
disable = no.

Yeah, I run command:
chkconfig ntpd on
under the root.
Also, I checked the GUI tool that is "Service
Configuration". I checked the following service:
inetd: xinetd is a powerful replacement for inetd.
xinetd has access control machanisms, extensive
logging capabilities, the ability to make services
available based on time, and can place limits on the
number of servers that can be started, among other
things.
Status: xinetd (pid 2933) is running...
ntpd: ntpd is the NTPv4 daemon. The Network Time
Protocol (NTP) is used to synchronize the time of a
computer client or server to another server or
reference time source, such as a radio or satellite
receiver or modem.
Status: ntpd (pid 2950) is running...
time: An RFC 868 time server. This protocol provides a
site-independent, machine readable date and time. The
Time service sends back to the originating source the
time in seconds since midnight on January first 1900.
This is the tcp version.
Status: xinetd service
All of these prove that time service is up now.
However, my code still could not connect to time port
13. I tested my code to connect other port like 23, it
could connect to port 23.
I am not sure if I can post my code here coz this is
not a PROGSIG. Somehow, I am going to post my code
within progsig for open check.
