Hi All, Last night I installed a bunch of updates and programs from SUSE's website onto my SUSE 9.1 Personal installation on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. With all the needed packages selected I ran upstairs to grab a drink leaving YAST running merrily along. When I returned the backlight had turned off and I could barely read the screen at all. Taking this as an omen I opted to install the recently arrived SLES 9.0 rather than mess around.
I installed the SLES and all went well till the first reboot at which point the backlight turned off again, leaving me literally and figuratively, in the dark. Haven't been able to find out the cause or resolution yet. Anyone care to shed some light on this problem? God, I can't believe I said that. :-) Cheers, Dave Watkins Calgary, Alberta, Canada [EMAIL PROTECTED] Voice: (403) 701-5746 Fax: (403) 266-0626 _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
