A CLUG trade show?  I think this may be a good idea, but just not right this 
moment.  Respectfully, I believe we have one or two other serious discussions 
happening, which would detract from the planning needed for an event like 
this.

An idea like this is big.  I think it needs much thought and planning to make 
it happen right.  The first thing to make a choice on is the topic of the 
event.  If we just say something like "CLUG is hosting a trade show, come 
visit", this leaves the question of what the trade show is for.  Maybe 
something like  "CLUG is hosting an Open Source trade show" or something 
similar?  Once we have the topic for the event, THEN sponsors could be 
approached.  Maybe the Calgary Convention Center will donate time?  Or maybe 
we need to book a community hall?  I'm sure IBM and Novell would be 
interested in an open source trade show, as well as a ton of local 
companies...  But like I said above, I feel we need to resolve the other 
issues before we can properly focus on this one....
