Have you considered asking the list for ideas / experiences / web resources how to avoid email harvesting by spammers? There are quite a number of techniques (webforms are just of the techniques and it has drawbacks, too). It might be interesting to hear if anyone has experience with some of those techniques.

Since this is a problem for just about anyone with a website, it might trigger a thread of interest to many of us. Well, at least I would be very interested.

Hey Group,

Here's some updates for you:

We have changed the navigation on the website to hopefully make it easier to navigate around and create meaningful sections for our content. Some of you may have noticed the addition of 'Meeting Minutes' to the navigation already, this is a work in progress and we hope to have the complete set of minutes for the AGM, any SGM's we have had and minutes from the Executive meetings we have had. We apologize for the delay in getting these minutes up, what can I say this is a volunteer job for us and we all have lives outside of CLUG. At this time we will not be including minutes for the monthly meetings as it was deemed unnecessary at the last AGM.

Probably the most important feature we have added is the ability to contact the Executive Board directly in its entirety or by individual. We felt this was a feature that was called for not just by our members but could be used when anyone wants to get in touch with CLUG. We realize that this potentially opens us to more SPAM but the positive potential of this feature outweighs the negative. We have at least made this a web form rather than email links so as to cut down on robots trolling our site for addreses. Yes, we are aware that there are certain addresses within the site content, that will be changed over the next little while.

In addition to these changes we have begun discussion and planning on a complete website revamp (yet again). We have assembled a team (Szemir Khangyi, Jason Louie, Shawn Grover and yours truly... for now) and we have had a meeting and some ongoing discussion on planning. We will keep you posted on development as we have anything significant to report.

Thank-you for your continued support as we continue to grow.
