Good call Niels, those were excellent links. As to the champion, yes, I should have said champions and naturally if you are talking Free Software, Stallman comes immediately to mind. I was quite happy to read that he is (and others are) at work to release an updated version of the GPL with patents in mind. He is only one of many, I didn't mean to paint this out to be a bleak thing.
