I used the RPM from this site: http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/

There's good instructions there on how to get Xine running, and Jesse 
indicated that Totem runs on Xine (I've never used Totem).

I can play most Windows media, though some don't play (complains about codec - 
hmmm... maybe related?).  I'm wondering if these particular files that don't 
play are using the MS Digital Rights Management...
