Then people will start saying 'open source software is garbage, look at how unstable this is'. I think things like Firefox are necessary to get people to pay attention. There was a near full-page article on Firefox in the herald the other day, so people are waking up in that regard. KDE was meant to run on top of X, I think that's where it belongs. If people need something fresh and new, why not start a KDE-3D project to compete with looking glass?
