Not sure if it's quite what you're looking for, but you can use SAMBA to make a Linux partition/directory available to Windows, with read/write access.... Then you just use Windows Explorer to view the files.
This might be a little tougher if the Linux partition is on the same drive that is running Windows. You would use Samba on a remote Linux server (i.e. not the same computer). VMWare uses SAMBA to talk between the OS's. For example, when I'm running my Windows virtual PC, it uses samba to talk to my Linux folder - which is a configurable setting.
