Good morning all, Once again I appeal to the wisdom of the Collective.
I am looking for a patient instructor who is familiar with both Dan's Guardian and Squid. The school at my church has complained that the kids are being exposed to inappropriate content while surfing the Web. While I'm not in favour of censorship I do believe that this is a case where some control is necessary. MY TASK: I'd like to bring a box to your place and do a slow, detailed walkthrough of the OS setup and configuration of a "content filtering solution". Also included in the package should be a GUI interface if at all possible. My goal would be to be able to replicate this for another client in the future. I say slow and detailed as I'm not a Linux guru by any means. YOUR TASK: Let me know what I have so bring to your door, operating system, hardware minimums etc. Should I incorporate IPCOP into the mix? What are you going to charge me for your efforts?
