I can (fondly!  LOL) recall hand-compiling machine code (1GL) on a Z80A, so yes, everyone else has to suffer!

ps Anyone else catch Sir Clive Sinclair, the inventor of the Timex-Sinclair 1000, ZX81, et al, which used the above-mentioned CPU, on the World Poker Tour the other week?
