Shawn! (Jarrod also take note - I'm running this on my CF-25 (166/96ram) and it works like a charm).
I just read: http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=9569 and discovered BeatrIX http://www.watsky.net It's perfect! a nice tight light little distro based on Ubuntu (debian based). Out of the box it's pretty limited, but you are just a few "apt-get install"s away from a really clean little workhorse (draws from the Ubuntu deb repository . Unfortunately it is only gnome based (at the kernel level apparently). So if you're not into gnome, you might need to keep looking. But otherwise it'll do nicely. Nice network/wireless setup tools too. enjoy Marcel On Sat, 2005-01-29 at 19:04 -0700, Shawn wrote: > I'm looking for a decent distro to put onto an older laptop (Acer TravelMate > 512DX), with only a 4GB drive.
